It closed on January 29th of this year and wasn’t expected to open again until March of 2016.

Yesterday the city’s engineering department reported to the Everett City Council that the bridge over the railroad tracks on Broadway between Hewitt and California will re-open by the end of this year.

City of Everett engineer Ryan Sass reported to the council that favorable weather, good design and a lucky decision or two will allow the bridge to return to service by the end of December.

There will still be some finishing work left to do but it looks like the project will finish about three months ahead of schedule.
