A Harbor Security Patrol from Naval Station Everett along with Everett Police and Everett Firefighters teamed up today to aid a boat in distress west of Jetty Island in Port Gardner Bay.

Authorities were notified of a boat that was going round and round in circles west of Jetty Island. Sailors from Naval Station Everett on harbor security detail were able to come alongside the boat and get it under control.

On board, they found a man who was having a medical emergency. Everett Police and Firefighters launched Marine 1 and went out and picked up the man and brought him to medics waiting on the visitor dock in front of Anthony’s Restaurant.

Marine 1 then went back out to the man’s boat and rescued his dog. They were also able to secure the boat at the Port of Everett. The man’s medical issue was not available but he and his dog are expected to be just fine.
