Haggen To Close Everett Store
The Haggen sign went up in March and will be coming down in November.
The former Safeway store at 75th street and Evergreen Way in south Everett that was purchased by
Haggen in March of this year is scheduled to be closed within the next 60 days. It was one of nearly
100 stores the company announced it wants to close as part of its bankruptcy plan.
In a press release today Haggen explained it is asking the Bankruptcy Court for approval to conduct Store Closing Sales. All employees of the non-core stores and the Pacific Southwest support office will receive 60 day notice of the pending store and office closures. During this process, all stores will remain open. Employees will continue to receive their pay and benefits through the normal course of business as previously approved by the court.
No word yet if another buyer will be found for the location once Haggen closes the 75th street store.
