A 29-year-old Everett man is expected to make his first court appearance this afternoon after being arrested for suspicion of driving drunk through a north Everett neighborhood while firing a gun out the window of his van.

According to charging papers obtained by MyEverettNews.com, Wednesday night around 7:30PM, Everett Police received shots fired calls from the area of 15th street and Lombard as well as the 1800 – 1900 blocks of Baker and the 2000 block of Virginia.

Officers went to the area and found a van in the area of 23rd and Virginia matching the description of the one firing shots.

Police detained the driver (who was an adult) and recovered two handguns from his pants. They also located a shell casing inside of the van.

A passenger in the van was identified as the juvenile step-son of the man who advised officers the man had been driving around firing out the window.
