To mark their one year anniversary, the TCBY store in the Everett Mall Plaza will be giving away a free 3.65oz frozen yogurt to everyone who comes in to visit the store this Sunday August 23rd.

In addition, every customer will get one $15.00 value Treatcard per invoice during the promotion this Sunday only. The Treatcard rewards customers for return visits.

“I knew Everett needed a yogurt shop and that’s why I opened the store last year,” said owner Neeshad Thakkar. “My family and I have been overwhelmed by the response.” Thakkar tells MyEverettNews.com that while he works as a full time software engineer he always wanted to get into the food service business. After noticing there wasn’t really a healthy alternative to all of the ice cream stores in Everett he began to research frozen yogurt. “It’s simple and healthy,” said Thakkar.

In addition to offering a healthy alternative to ice cream Thakkar wants to give back to the Everett community. He’s begun a fundraising campaign that allows school and non-profit groups to raise funds at the store and get 30% back as well as raise money selling frozen yogurt at events in the Everett area. He also awards gift cards to Everett students.

Don’t want to wait in line but have a desire for frozen yogurt? Today marks the launch of online ordering capability through yelp owned Eat24.com site. Thakkar says this is great option for a customer who doesn’t have much time and doesn’t want to wait in line. They can order at this website and the store will have their order ready for pick up.

With flavors and offerings changing often Thakkar invites people to follow their Facebook page and sign up to receive email alerts and get a free birthday yogurt. TCBY Everett is open 7 days a week in the Everett Mall Plaza at 1405 SE Everett Mall Way from 11:30am – 10:00pm.
