Gas Line Break Shuts Toys R Us

August 17, 2015

Everett, Everett Fire

gas leak

An Everett Fire truck blocks access to the Toys R Us store.

The Toys R Us store on Everett Mall Way had close Monday afternoon after a construction crew broke a 2″ natural gas line behind the store. The smell hung over the shopping center and got into the store as the gas was venting. Everett Fire Crews stood by while Puget Sound Energy brought in workers to repair the line. The were no reports of injury and other stores in the shopping center did stay open.
