A look at just some of the evidence markers at the shooting scene.

It’s the third time this month that someone in Everett has been hit by gunfire. That’s in addition to more than half a dozen shots fired calls so far in July where no one was hit. In today’s shooting, one person was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Not a lot of details yet but here’s what we do know.

Shortly before 2:00AM Everett Police received multiple calls of shots fired in the area of 75th and Lower Ridge Road. Arriving officers also heard shots. A search of the area turned up one person who had been hit. That person was removed from the scene and taken by medic unit to Providence Regional Medical Center. Everett Police then went door to door checking on people in the neighborhood.

Both Patrol and Major Crimes detectives from the Everett Police Department are currently involved at the scene. It appears the shooting took place on 75th Street SW with more than one home hit by gunfire. Two people have been detained but no word yet on their involvement. The investigation is in its early stages and we’ll update when we have more details. Here are some photos from the scene.
