Motorcyclist Killed in Crash On Airport Road in South Everett

Editor’s Update Thursday July 23rd 9:00PM: The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office has completed the examination and identification of a 25-year old male who was involved in a motorcycle collision on Airport Road at Highway 99 in Everett on July 22, 2015. The decedent is Aleksandr S. Savchik of Lynnwood, WA. The cause of death is blunt force injuries of the head and chest. The manner of death is Accident.

Investigators are still on the scene where a man driving a motorcycle was killed Wednesday afternoon. The crash happened around 3PM. The motorcyclist was going east on Airport Road when it collided with a Jeep turning south into a parking lot across from Home Depot just east of Highway 99. According to Shari Ireton from the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office the motorcyclist died at the scene, a man driving the Jeep was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett and a female passenger in the Jeep was transported to Harborview Hospital in Seattle. The Sheriff’s Collision Investigation Unit is in charge of the investigation. Airport Road will likely reopen sometime around 6:00PM. Here are a couple of MyEverettNews.com photos from the scene.
