The Everett Animal Farm is now open at Forest Park in central Everett. It will be open from 10am – 4pm daily through August 16th. There is no cost to attend but they do accept donations to help offset the cost of feed and barnyard maintenance.

You can get up close and personal with goats, ducks, hens, pigs, rabbits and sheep.

Thursdays thru Sundays from 10:30am – 11:30am kids 2 years and older are able to ride a pony. There is no cost but a donation of $3.00 is suggested. Kids can weigh no more than 70 pounds and a helmet is required. They do have helmets at the farm or you can bring your own.

The animal farm is also available for Birthday Party Rentals where up to 12 kids ages 4 – 9 can participate. For the cost and more information contact the Everett Parks Recreation Office at 425-257-8300 ext. 2.

One important reminder for both kids and adults is to use the hand washing stations. In 2011 four people came down with E-Coli at the Animal Farm. Since then cleaning efforts were stepped up and extra hand washing stations were added.
