Earlier this month an Everett woman won twice in the same day playing scratch off tickets from the Washington Lottery. Her big win happened at the AM/PM on Casino Road. Here’s a release from the Washington State Lottery.

First $100.00, then $200,000.00 for an Everett woman here on June 5th

An Everett woman decided to try her luck twice on June 5, after winning $100 from a Washington’s Lottery Scratch ticket. She stopped at AMPM (901 West Casino Road) in Everett to purchase a second “Green and Gold” Scratch ticket, hoping to get lucky again. And good thing she did, because the winning ticket was worth $200,000.

The woman’s husband told Washington’s Lottery officials she called him first when she realized she won. “She was hysterical! I couldn’t understand what she was saying at first, but then it finally came out, ‘I won the jackpot!’”

When the couple was asked about next steps, they said they had a few different plans. “We were planning on going out to a big dinner, but were so tired from work we decided to just grab Subway on the way home,” they shared jokingly. “But we are thinking about a vacation in the future, possibly a trip to the Mediterranean.”

Proceeds from Washington’s Lottery benefit the Washington Opportunity Pathways Account, providing grants to college students statewide. To learn more about Washington’s Lottery, its beneficiaries and to review all up-to-date winning numbers, please visit www.walottery.com.
