Naval Station Everett will conduct an annual base-wide exercise on Wednesday, June 3. Those who access the base should expect gate closures between 9 a.m. and noon. During the exercise, people near the base may see simulated smoke clouds, activated emergency vehicles, and responders wearing protective gear.

The field training exercise is designed for Navy and local emergency personnel to practice coordinated responses and improve readiness prior to an actual emergency or disaster. The base will exercise response capabilities with City of Everett Fire and local medical centers in a simulated hazmat incident.

Naval Station Everett is committed to coordinating with local community authorities for response and recovery operations in times of crisis.
