No Everett Location For Chick-fil-A in Company’s 5-Year Outlook

The original sandwich is a breast filet cooked in peanut oil and served with 2 pickles.

MyEverettNews.com attended the media preview for the new Chick-fil-A store in Lynnwood today to see if there were any plans to come to Everett. A company spokesperson told us that the plan for the northwest includes the stores already in Tacoma, Bellevue and Lynnwood with plans to have 8 – 13 Washington stores within the next 5 years. Everett however, is not on the list. We did get a chance to meet Paul Rosser, the owner of the Lynnwood store. He first began working for Chick-fil-A at the age of 16 in Knoxville, TN. He most recently operated a store in Jackson, TN and when the opportunity to open in the northwest came up he applied for and received the Lynnwood location. He moved here in February. The Lynnwood store is on 196th street next to Lowes. They’re open from 6:30am – 10pm Monday – Saturday and closed on Sundays. The store employs 78 people right now and is still hiring. (In the interest of full disclosure, we were treated to a sandwich and I have to say it was very tasty. LD)

Editor’s Update 3:45pm: We received the following e-mail to our story from Kim Hardcastle, the spokesperson we talked with about the possibility of Chick-fil-A coming to Everett in the future…

“Hi Lee – Thanks so much for coming out to the media open house today at Chick-fil-A at Lynnwood. I just saw your story, and wanted to make sure you know that while I said Everett was not on the current list of locations I personally am aware of in the pipeline, that does not mean it’s not a possibility within the five year expansion plan. What I said was that I did not know. I don’t want your readers to get the impression Everett is not a possibility when it very well could be. You will definitely be the first to know if and when the real estate team is looking in the area.”
