An SUV going northbound on I-5 went off the freeway across from Dagmar’s Landing this morning causing big traffic trouble in Everett. The SUV landed on top of a State Traffic Control Box. PUD and Everett Fire Technical Rescue crews were call to shut off power and stabilize the vehicle so the driver could be taken out. He was transported by medics to Providence Regional Medical Center. Because of the crash, northbound I-5 traffic through Everett was backed up for about 4 miles and southbound traffic was backed up to 4th street in Marysville as people slowed to watch the scene.
