Disturbing Scene As Person Collapses On Broadway Near EvCC

Everett fire

10th and Broadway was blocked for about an hour.

We received several inquiries regarding an incident this morning on Broadway at 10th street. Around 7:30am Everett Fire and Police were called to a report of a person down in the roadway. As the first fire unit arrived, bystanders had started CPR on the person who was down. Everett Firefighters and Medics took over the resuscitation efforts but were ultimately unsuccessful. In checking with Everett Police, it appears to possibly have been a medical issue and is not being investigated as a traffic accident or suspicious incident. The Snohomish County Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of the person’s death. Traffic was impacted for about an hour for people trying to get to Everett Community College.

Shouldn’t it be a disturbing “sight” instead?

Yes, I was going as much for location and probably should actually have said scene. Thanks for the feedback. Not always easy being your own editor. – LD
