Everett Fire Department crews responded to a reported residential fire in the 2000 Block of 35th Street. Arriving crews found smoke and flame in a boarded-up detached garage that had been converted into a dwelling. Crews initially attacked the fire from outside, and then continued to extinguish from the interior. The fire heavily damaged the structure, and crews are extinguishing hot spots in the loft/attic area. An investigator is on scene. No damage estimate is yet available. No one was in the structure at the time, and there were no injuries to firefighters
