Broadway bridge

For the 1st time in over 100 years there is no bridge across the tracks below Broadway.

It took less than three weeks for crews to remove the Broadway bridge over the railroad tracks between Hewitt and California in downtown Everett. Work now begins on construction of the replacement span. That job is expected to be completed sometime in early 2016. City engineering officials say the detours around the construction zone are working smoothly. In fact there have been problems on other surface streets as motorists begin using their own alternate routes well before getting to the designated detours.
