Haggen Buys Safeway Store at 75th and Evergreen Way in Everett

For the last few weeks there has been concern among employees in the Albertson’s store at Madison and Evergreen Way and the Safeway store at 75th and Evergreen about which location may close due to a corporate merger that brought both chains under the same ownership. Now we have the answer to that question as Haggen Foods announced it has purchased the Safeway at 75th and Evergreen Way and will convert it to a Haggens in the first half of next year. Haggen is offering store employees and management their current jobs so it looks to be a win-win for all involved.
