Still don’t know what caused a 40-year-old man to end up 30 feet below a fence at the Greens of Merrill Creek Apartments late Friday night. Everett Police were at the apartment complex shortly after 10:30pm in west Everett on a separate call when they were notified of a man who was laying in the woods near the back of the apartment complex at the base of a 30 foot wall. Officers were able to get to the man and start first aid while aid crews were called. Arriving Everett Fire crews called for a technical rescue. As paramedics stabilized the man, other firefighters prepared a basket and attached it to the end of a ladder truck who then lowered it through the trees, over the wall and down about 30 feet. The man was raised to waiting fire crews and transported to Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett with serious injuries. At this time there is no further information on the man or how he ended up in that position. Here are a few pictures taken from the scene.
