Got the following from Shari Ireton at the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office regarding a 14-year-old who decided to skip school today for a little target practice…
A 14 year-old male was injured after accidently shooting himself in the leg this morning. The incident was reported around 9:15 a.m. by a friend of the victim. It is believed that the victim, a student at Voyager Middle School, had skipped school to go target shooting with friends. He told deputies at the scene that the weapon belonged to a parent.
The victim was transported to Providence Regional Medical Center in serious condition. The incident is under investigation by the Major Crimes Unit.
