Nearly a dozen police cars were on scene
The suspect went out a window and onto the roof
Officers on the ground try to talk the suspect into coming down.
When he wouldn’t come down officers went onto the roof after him.
In spite of the pouring rain and slippery roof, there were no injuries.
If you happened to be driving in the area of 19th Ave SE at about 106th street around 4:15PM you may have noticed nearly a dozen Everett police cars on the east side of 19th across from McClain Insurance. Everett Police were called to a report of a domestic violence suspect possibly holding a woman inside a duplex against her will. Officers were able to get the woman and other residents out of the duplex but the suspect climbed out an upper floor window onto the roof. When the man would not come down or go back into the house officers went onto the roof in the pouring rain and took the man safely into custody. Here are a few pictures from the scene as officers made the risky arrest in the rain. Click photos to enlarge.
