Judy Tuohy is the newest member of the Everett City Council.

Judy Tuohy took her seat Wednesday as the newest member of the Everett City Council. A formal ceremony with friends and family in attendance will be held next week. With the certification of the election, Tuohy immediately replaced Rich Anderson who was appointed to the seat and then lost to Tuohy in the general election. Tuohy is serving out the rest of the term for position 7 vacated by Shannon Affholter who resigned in order to take a job with the Master Builder’s Association. She says she will run for a full term next fall. In other City Council news, Scott Bader was unanimously chosen to serve as city council President in 2015.
