Anderson Congratulates Tuohy On Everett City Council Victory

Rich Anderson
At the end of the Everett City Council meeting tonight, Rich Anderson walked over and shook hands with Judy Tuohy. The two were running against each other for council position 7 which Anderson was appointed to after the resignation of Shannon Affholter last year. Anderson tells MyEverettNews.com that he wished Tuohy congratulations and good luck. He says he does not plan to run again next year for the seat. “It’s more than you realize,” said Anderson. “But its been a rewarding year.” Earlier today Tuohy said in an email to MyEverettNews.com, “We were all very encouraged by the initial results of the race last night. It looks like the voters are indicating they want a fresh perspective on council. However, we will know more later today and we certainly hope my lead holds.”
Tuohy will take office at the end of the month once the final election results have been certified.
