Uh yeah, ’cause they weren’t on the primary ballot. There was some confusion among voters in Everett who had been seeing signs for Judy Tuohy and Rich Anderson but didn’t find that race on their ballot. Because only two candidates filed for Everett City Council position 7, both automatically advanced to the November General Election. It’s been the same for other local candidates in races involving Everett including district court judge positions. Now that the primary is over, the campaigns can begin in earnest. As far as the Primary narrowing down candidates in other races that can affect Everett it looks like incumbent Rick Larsen will face B.J. Guillot in the 2nd Congressional race and John Lovick will face Carolyn Eslick for Snohomish County Executive.
