It’s been the scene of a number of accidents over the years and this morning it happened again. Shortly after 6:00am another driver failed to make the curve onto the Broadway bridge across from Evergreen Cemetery. The bridge diverts northbound traffic on old Broadway above the southbound I-5 on-ramp in order to continue onto north Broadway near 41st street. Three people were in the car and two passengers were taken by ambulance to Providence Regional Medical Center. The driver was detained and Everett Police are looking into whether drugs or alcohol were involved. No word yet on the severity of the injuries. Two years ago, on June 23rd 2012, a
28 year-old-man from Whidbey Island died when his truck failed to make that turn.
