United Way of Snohomish County is proud to announce the hiring of Megan Farwell as Senior Manager, Impact & Community Investment.
Megan joins United Way from Harvard University, where she served as a research manager at the Harvard Kennedy School of Women and Public Policy Program. Originally from Washington State, she holds a bachelor’s degree in English literature from Western Washington University, and master’s degrees in social work and public administration from the University of Washington. Before Harvard, she worked for Lifelong AIDS Alliance and Asian Counseling and Referral Service in Seattle, and spent a year at United Way of King County where she assisted with public policy and research efforts.
Megan joins United Way’s Impact team, where she oversees the Families Matter Vision Council. She is also planning this summer’s Project Homeless Connect event, where over 1,000 people are expected to attend and receive services.
Megan lives in Everett. In her spare time, she is collaborating on an ongoing research project with the University of Washington’s Evans Center of Nonprofits and Philanthropy on charitable solicitation regulations.
