This little one found a new home today.

Normally on a Sunday around 5 animals will find a new home from the Everett Animal Shelter. Between 10am and 1pm today, 19 animals had found new homes as the Everett Animal Shelter kicks off its participation in the ASPCA Rachael Ray 100K Adoption Challenge. Just for being selected to participate in the challenge the Everett Shelter will receive $5000.00. There are also other monetary prizes Everett could win as part of the competition. Everett is in a division that includes SpokAnimal C.A.R.E. in Spokane, WA as well as shelters in Maryland, Oakland, Texas, Florida and Georgia. “The staff and volunteers are really committed to the program,” said Shannon Johnson, director of the Everett Animal Shelter. “Each weekend we’ll feature a different theme and adoption specials to keep the contest fresh and interesting.” The contest runs in June, July and August with Everett’s goal to adopt out 1,616 pets plus grow awareness of the shelter and the services and opportunities it provides for both pets and people.
