4 Cats Killed in House Fire on Sharon Drive in South Everett

No injuries but Everett Fire confirms four cats perished in a house fire in the 9300 block of Sharon drive Tuesday evening. More news as we get it.

Update: 8:12pm The fire is out and investigators have been called to the scene. The Red Cross has also been called to assist the residents.

8:30pm update: Here is the latest from Everett Fire Marshal Rick Robinson…

Everett Fire Department crews responded to a reported dining room fire at 7:23 p.m. Arriving crews found flames and smoke coming from the front of the house and the resident safely outside. Crews knocked down the main body of the fire quickly, and then extinguished hotspots in the interior, and also in the attic. There were no injuries, but four cats were deceased in the fire. The Red Cross has been called to provide aid to the resident. A crew will remain on scene thru the night to ensure all hot spots are extinguished. The cause of the fire is under investigation, but is not thought to be suspicious. The damage to the structure is estimated to be about $100,000.
