This afternoon, officers responded to the report of a collision between a car and motorcycle in the 4900 block of Evergreen Way. Arriving officers found a severely injured motorcyclist who was transported to Providence Regional Medical Center where he died of his injuries.
Northbound Evergreen Way at 50th was closed and Traffic detectives responded to the collision. The initial investigation indicates the motorcycle was traveling northbound on Evergreen Way. The car was driving southbound and turned left, in front of the motorcycle, into the QFC parking lot. The motorcyclist tried stopping, but collided with the car. At this time, it is unknown if alcohol, drugs or speed were factors in the collision.
The driver of the car was a 62 year-old man and the motorcyclist was a 36 year-old Everett man.
The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made.
