A black eye for Everett, WA when a woman has everything she owns stolen after spending the night in Everett. Here are the details as released by Everett Police this morning including a video of the theft…

The Everett Police Department is seeking the public’s help to find a stolen U-Haul box truck and car dolly.

39 year-old Kristen Shaulis of Illinois is moving from Illinois to Alaska for a new job. Last night, she stopped in Everett at the Best Western Hotel (2800 Pacific Ave). When she went outside this morning, Kristen discovered the U-Haul and car dolly, with her vehicle, had been stolen. Everything Kristen owns is inside the U-Haul.

Everett Police Forensics Imaging Unit detectives are assisting with the investigation and have retrieved video surveillance of the incident. At about 6:50 a.m. this morning, a dark colored Jeep Commander is seen driving up to the U-Haul. A person gets out of the passenger side, opens the U-Haul door, gets into the truck and drives off.

The U-Haul is a 14 foot box truck with an Arizona license plate (AE 56627) pulling a car dolly trailer. The dolly trailer has a Virginia license plate (15567R) and is carrying a black 1999 Chrysler Town and County minivan with an Illinois license plate (R679783).

We are seeking the public’s help to locate the vehicles. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call 911, the Everett Police Department TIP LINE at (425) 257-8450 or Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound at 1-800-222-TIPS.
