A decision is expected February 3rd

Friday, the Everett Public Schools Board of Directors reviewed the applications of seven district residents who applied to be considered for appointment to fill vacant Position 3.

As per board policy, the board chose five of the seven candidates to interview on Monday, Feb. 3, 2014 beginning at 3 p.m. in the Board Room of the Community Resource Center at 3900 Broadway in Everett.

The candidates selected for interview are:

  • Michelle Black
  • Daniel Mills
  • Traci Mitchell
  • Arletha Northrop
  • Kristine Petereit

The schedule for interviews is:

3:00 p.m. First interview 6:15 p.m. Brief recess
3:45 p.m. Second interview 6:30 p.m. Fifth interview
4:30 p.m. Brief recess 7:15 p.m. Public comment
4:45 p.m. Third interview 7:45 p.m. Brief recess
5:30 p.m. Fourth interview 8:00 p.m. Deliberation in Executive Session
    9:00 p.m. Selection in Open Session

The candidate appointed to the position will serve as a member of the Board of Directors until that position’s term ends in 2015. In 2015, the appointee may choose whether to run for election to serve another term in that position.
