Editor’s Note: As a treat for you this year we are again reposting our 2011 story about a woman who locked herself inside her car on Thanksgiving and couldn’t seem to get out. She decided her best course of action was to call 9-1-1. Happy Thanksgiving…

Help, I'm locked in my car and can't get out...

Usually people call police when they accidentally lock themselves outside of their car while its running or their infant child is inside and they can’t wait for a locksmith. On Thanksgiving evening however, an Everett woman had multiple conversations with 9-1-1 dispatchers in Everett after she found herself locked inside her car, unable to open any of the doors. She had the keys, she just couldn’t figure how to get out. She admitted she had been drinking and demanded Everett police come let her out. Here are the 9-1-1 tapes…

Everett Police did arrive and let the woman out of her car. Since there are no laws against sitting inside of your car in your own backyard while intoxicated, the officers released the woman to continue a Thanksgiving she’ll probably not remember.
