While in school, Brim was selected as an Ignite Ambassador, a leadership role extended to select students. Brim completed the course with a 4.0 GPA and near-perfect attendance.
“Stacy has overcome extreme challenges and, as an ambassador, really came out of her shell and began to shine on campus,” said Lorine Hill, president of Everest College-Everett. “She was never discouraged by personal setbacks or challenges and made the pursuit of her education a top priority.”
“This was totally unexpected and I feel really honored to receive the Dream Award,” Brim said. “Relocating to the Everett area was really difficult at first, but I was able to make a great connection with the staff and other students who were instrumental in guiding me and making me feel right at home. I hope one day to come back to teach at the campus and help future students have the same positive experience I did. ”
