Got a press release and picture this morning from Aaron Snell at Everett Police. They’re looking for a suspect who robbed the Papa Murphy’s near Silver Lake in south Everett last week. Then Sunday night the same store was burglarized. Here’s what they know…

The Everett Police Department is seeking the public’s help to identify a robber who indicated he had a gun, threw a cash register to the floor and stole money from a business before fleeing.

At about 8:00 p.m. on November 5, 2013, a male walked into the Papa Murphy’s at 11014 19th Ave SE and walked up to the cashier. The male carried a white towel in his right hand and wore a clear plastic glove on his left hand. He asked the female employee if she had change for a dollar. The employee waited, but the male never handed her the dollar. Instead, the male asked for all the money in the cash register, put his hand in his pocket and pointed what the employee believed was a gun at her. The employee backed away from the male and called 911.

As the employee called 911, the male grabbed the cash register and pulled it off the counter. He threw it to the floor causing the money drawer to open. Once open, the male grabbed cash then ran away from the business. The male was last seen southbound on 19th Ave SE towards Silver Lake.

While no physical weapon was seen, the employee believed the male had a gun in his pocket.

The male is described as white, 20-30 years old, 5’9” tall, slender build with blue eyes and brown hair. His face is depicted as “sunken” with brown facial “stubble.” During the robbery he wore a black and gray North Face or Columbia zip-up coat with the hood covering his head.

At the same Papa Murphy’s on November 10, 2013, a passerby calls 911 to report 2 black males breaking the front window and entering the business. A light grey or silver passenger car quickly drives away while the passerby calls 911. Officers arrive to find the business burglarized but no one is inside. A police K-9 tracks ends outside the back door. The investigation determines the passenger car drove around the building and picked up the two males before leaving.

It is not known if the two incidents are related. Anyone with information about either incident is asked to call the Everett Police Department TIP LINE at (425) 257-8450 or Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound at 1-800-222-TIPS.
