Our 2013 Farmers Market Season, seemingly just begun, has sadly, reached its final day of the season, but in a celebratory fashion.
October 6, this Sunday, we will celebrate all that was good at the EFM during our fine summer months. I’m remembering a long and delicious cherry season and a wide variety of berries without end. The flowers, oh so beautiful with sensational colors brightened our mornings and freshened the air. Fresh hot food and baked goodies were a delight to many as well as the cheeses and meats that sustain us.
Of course many genres of fine music drifted through the Market mixing with untold numbers of conversations between Market goers and Vendors, the sounds coming together in an eclectic mix of joy, delight and happiness. Wonderful artists of all types wove a special mix of entrepreneurialism, creative flair, and a sense of wonder as they shaped their media into unique works or experiences enticing our sense of wonder and emotion.
And our farmers; where would we be without the greens, the colorful peppers, beets, carrots and all the rest? A world of deliciousness and nutrition freshly harvested from local farms across Washington, delivered to Market by those dedicated to a way of life of working the land and soil with their hands, hearts, and the humbleness inspired by nature.
Sunday, October 6, we celebrate the Market’s bounty, its vitality, and the generosity of all of you who visit and make the Everett Farmers Market the special place and experience that it is.
On behalf of our outstanding staff: Barbara, Danny, Tammy, and Vanessa, Karen and I , Gary, sincerely thank our customers and our vendors, for another amazing year of community collaboration, contagious laughter, awesome food, great entertainment, and above all, your steady commitment to the success and longevity of the Everett Farmers Market!
See you on Sunday!
