If you see groups of people in t-shirts working in and around your favorite Everett non-profit Friday or Saturday its a good bet they’re participating in United Way of Snohomish County’s annual Days of Caring. This year nearly 1000 volunteers will work at various non-profits cleaning, building, organizing and just lending a hand. Here’s a bit more direct from United Way of Snohomish County…
Each year, Days of Caring brings together volunteers who are committed to creating positive change in the lives of children, families and seniors.Volunteer teams, organized primarily by local companies, complete projects for local nonprofit agencies that often lack the necessary resources to tackle such important initiatives themselves.
On the 20th annual Days of Caring, we’ll flex our collective community muscle to show Strength in Community through volunteerism. Our vision is bold: 1,000 volunteers representing every city in Snohomish County.
Last year, 770 sets of helping hands volunteered 4,000 hours benefiting 43 Snohomish County nonprofits.
