Meghan Pembroke is leaving Seattle Children’s to come to Everett

Everett Mayor Ray Stephanson has appointed Meghan Pembroke to the position of Public Information Director for the City of Everett effective August 7.

Pembroke brings over eight years experience in media and public relations, crisis communications and project management skills to the position. She comes to the City from Seattle Children’s Hospital where she served as a Senior Public Relations Specialist. Prior to Seattle Children’s Hospital she spent six years in communications with the Washington State Department of Transportation.

Pembroke holds a Master’s Degree in English Literature from Washington State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature and Writing from Whitworth University.

“‘Meghan brings a broad array of proven communication skills to the City,” said Mayor Stephanson. “Her experience in television production, social media, and emergency communications compliment her excellent writing and organizational skills.”

Pembroke was nominated WSDOT Communicator of the Year in 2010. Her background includes extensive training in incident management, citizen outreach, communications, and event planning. She replaces Kate Reardon.
