The Everett Police Department is announcing the 4th of July Open House on Thursday from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the North Precinct.

On July 4th, 2013, the Everett Police Department will host an Open House for the public! This community event lets residents interact with officers and see how our specialty units operate.

Last year, over 1,500 people attended the Open House and we will again have our popular “Passport to the Police”. Participants will receive a “passport” that officers will stamp while explaining and demonstrating how their unit functions through an interactive display.

Colby the Crime Prevention Dog’s paw prints will lead everyone through the Police Headquarters building and young participants will receive a prize. Numerous specialty units will be staged outside on Wetmore Ave.

Colby the Crime Prevention Dog will start his day out by leading the parade at 11:00 a.m. and will then be at the Open House for paw-fives and lots of pictures.

12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
