Annual “Everett Cup” Set For Wednesday Night

Aaron Brooks is a former Merchant now playing for the Everett Aquasox
A tune-up for the Everett Aquasox, a way to raise funds for the Everett Merchants and once in a while, a pretty good baseball game. The 5th annual Everett Cup is set for Wednesday night at 7:00pm at
Everett Memorial Stadium. Here’s the update from the Everett Merchants website…
The 2013 Everett Cup is coming up this Wednesday June 13 at 7:05. This annual game has the Everett Merchants taking on the Seattle Mariners minor league affiliate the Everett AquaSox.
In the game, the Merchants might face a familiar face as former Everett
Merchant, Aaron Brooks has been assigned to the AquaSox for the start of
the 2013 season.
Brooks pitched briefly for the Merchants in 2012 before being drafted by
the Mariners in the 26th round. The Mount Lake Terrace native, pitched
collegiately at Gonzaga before transferring to Edmonds CC.
As a reminder to fans a portion of every ticket to the Everett Cup is donated
to the Merchants to help off-set operational costs…so don’t forget to
purchase your tickets and support the team.
