Escort of Fallen Trooper Expected in Everett Around 11:30am

Troopers from the Washington State Patrol as well as multiple other police agencies will be escorting the body of fallen Trooper Sean O’Connell from Skagit County to Everett this morning. The motorcade will go south on I-5 into Everett. West on 41st Street to Colby and then North on Colby to 33rd street at Solie Funeral Home. If you’d like to pay your respects as the motorcade goes by the best spot would be on the sidewalk along Colby Avenue between 41st Street and 33rd street. Please do not pull over on the side of the Freeway and get out of your car. Funeral services for the Trooper are expected to be announced on Monday. He died in the line of duty on Friday while doing traffic control around the I-5 detour in Skagit County. The accident remains under investigation.
