Everett, Police Blotter

Medical Examiner badgeThe Snohomish County Medical Examiner has identified the man who died in a motorcycle crash on the Boeing Freeway Sunday night as 24-year-old Mark E. Dussault of Everett. According to Everett Police, Dussault was driving his motorcycle eastbound on the Boeing Freeway with two other riders when he crashed. Everett police said speed was likely a factor.

The Medical Examiner has also identified the man hit by a train and sent into the sound west of Harborview Park Tuesday night as 18-year-old Austin VanLeuven of Everett. He’d reportedly been walking on the railroad tracks with two other men when a northbound train rounded a corner with them directly in its path. Two of the men were able to get out-of-the-way but VanLeuven was hit by the train and sent into the sound. Divers from Naval Station Everett responded and assisted Everett Police with the recovery.

The Medical Examiner has listed the deaths of both young men as accidental.
