Man Killed While Walking on Everett Train Tracks

Everett Police have confirmed that a young man was hit by a train while walking with two friends near Harborview Park in Everett. The Amtrak train was traveling north on the tracks around 7:35pm when it rounded a corner and came upon three men on the tracks. Two were able to avoid the train but a third was struck and thrown into the water. Everett Police and Fire crews were called to the scene but a rescue operation turned into a recovery. Divers from Naval Station Everett assisted Everett Police who turned the person’s body over to the medical examiner. Everett Police are on the scene handling the investigation along with officials from Burlington Northern. No more information is expected tonight.
