Detectives learned the father, an 18-year-old Everett man, called 911 from his home in the 2500 block of Maple Avenue, when his daughter was having difficulty breathing and became lethargic. The daughter was transported to Providence Medical Center – Colby Campus in Everett but was moved to Seattle Children’s Hospital and was listed in serious condition.

During the investigation, the father told detectives his daughter was injured when she pushed herself up into his chin. He later admitted to vigorously shaking his daughter when she was fussy and wouldn’t stop crying.
