8:30pm Update: The last report on the condition of the pedestrian hit on I-5 this morning was that of a male in critical condition. The State Patrol says the man was in the southbound I-5 lanes of travel near 75th street when he was hit by the pedestrian side mirror of a Ford F150 pickup truck driven by a 45-year-old Snohomish man. The pedestrian was then hit by a Dodge Ram Pickup driven by a 59-year-old Marysville man. Aid crews took the victim to Harborview. Neither pickup driver was injured. The case remains under investigation. Traffic was backed up through Everett for two hours after the accident.
5:30am – All Lanes of I-5 southbound are blocked due to a car-pedestrian accident on I-5 just before the Boeing Freeway. No more details yet but now is the time to plan to get off at Everett Avenue or 41st Street and take Evergreen Way or Broadway and get back on at Eastmont. More details when we can.
