3 Lanes of Southbound I-5 in Everett to Shut Down Tonight

If you take I-5 South to Boeing you may want to leave a few minutes early Wednesday morning in case of delays.

The State Department of Transportation is warning drivers through Everett of possible delays tonight between 41st Street and the Boeing Freeway. Late night drivers may experience some delays while traveling southbound on Interstate 5 through Everett tonight, Tuesday, Feb. 26.

Crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will close three lanes of southbound I-5 past 41st Street for sign bridge work. The first lane will close at 10 p.m., the second at 11 p.m., and the third lane by midnight. All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27.

Crews will be back out to finish up Wednesday night, and will only close a single lane of southbound I-5 near 41 Street from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.
