The Everett Clinic Moves Up on Fortune’s Annual List of “100 Best Companies to Work For”

The Everett Clinic is pleased to announce it has been named one of FORTUNE® Magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For” list for the third year in a row. The Clinic is extremely excited to have earned a spot on this prestigious list. The 2013 list includes some of the country’s best-known and most successful companies such as Google, Microsoft and Dreamworks.

The Everett Clinic ranked No. 58 on the list, up 29 slots from last year’s ranking of 87. The Clinic’s referral bonus program which pays employees up to $10,000 for referring applicants who are hired at the Clinic was among the top reasons for selection, according to FORTUNE®.

“The Everett Clinic is operating in a healthcare environment that faces challenges never seen before. Our success is built on staff and physicians who come together in unique ways to do what is right for the patient,” said CEO Rick Cooper. “This is why it’s so important to not only hire great people but to ensure they feel valued.”

To pick the 100 Best Companies, FORTUNE® partnered with the Great Place to Work Institute to conduct the most extensive employee survey in corporate America. Two thirds of the Clinic’s score was based on the results of the survey. It included questions to measure levels of trust, pride and camaraderie within the workplace.

The other third of the scoring was based on the Clinic’s response to the Institute’s culture audit, which included detailed questions about workplace practices including compensation, paid time off and benefit programs, internal communication, hiring, training and development opportunities, recognition programs, giving back to the community and how the Clinic encourages fun among staff.
