Update: 01-15-13 The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the victim as 51 year old Richard W. Balch of Auburn. The cause and manner of death have not yet been released. The woman booked into jail has been released without charges being filed.

On Saturday (01-12-2013) at 12:46 am the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office responded to assist on an aid call in the 12100 block of SR 99 in Everett. The call was a report of a man down with CPR in progress, and while the caller was on the phone with dispatch, sounds of a disturbance was heard in the background.  Deputies encountered several intoxicated adults.  The victim, a male in his 50’s was transported to Swedish Hospital where he later died.  A female also in her 50’s was arrested and booked into the Snohomish County Jail for 2nd degree Manslaughter.  The man and woman were apparently in a dating relationship.
