The FAA today released its decision that proposed commercial airline service would not have a negative impact on Paine Field. Shortly after the FAA released the decision Everett Mayor Ray Stephenson issued the following statement. “The City of Everett has been on record supporting commercial air at Paine Field for many years now,” Everett Mayor Ray Stephanson said. “ The FAA has completed its effort, and by all indication, the impacts of commercial air appear to be minimal. Commercial air is necessary for economic development and job growth. Hopefully we’ll soon be working with a company to provide commercial air at Paine Field.”

Those in Mukilteo and other south Snohomish County communities have come out against the idea and its a pretty fair bet this will all end up in court before any service actually begins.
