Downtown Everett, Events in Everett

Holiday wreathsLast year there was drama over whether the City of Everett would put up the annual Christmas Tree over the intersection of Hewitt and Colby. In early December the City of Everett said no due to the condition of the tree and the supports. Then, a week later and after several complaints from residents, city crews developed a bracing system and the tree was installed. This year no such drama as crews today put up the Christmas tree at Hewitt and Colby and holiday wreaths on lamp posts around downtown Everett.

Next weekend the Imagine Children’s Museum will host a North Pole Party featuring Santa and Mrs. Claus. The Museum will be open Saturday, November 24, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. for holiday festivities. Activities are included with the $9 price of admission.

Santa Claus will be visiting with children in the Lodge area of the Museum from 10:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. while Mrs. Claus leads fun holiday-themed activities.

From 12:30-1:00 p.m. the Museum Christmas tree will be illuminated during the annual lighting ceremony. Throughout the day visitors will be able to make a 3-D reindeer ornament in the Art Studio.
