Everett Cupcake Store Has Grand Opening Friday and Saturday, Burglarized Sunday
Bite Me Cupcakes at 2811 Colby was burglarized after grand opening weekend
Talk about a rude welcome to downtown Everett. On Friday and Saturday, Bite Me Cupcakes celebrated the grand opening of their brand new store at 2811 Colby Avenue in downtown Everett. They closed on Sunday and bright and early this morning when owners Kim and Jason came in to start baking for today, they found someone had broken in and burglarized the store. Jason says there was no major damage just some money taken. He was able to keep a sense of humor about it, “Maybe they were looking for our golden cupcake,” said Jason. Everett Police are investigating and are asking if anyone has information to call their tip line at (425) 257-8450. In the meantime, if you’d like to show Jason and Kim that downtown Everett is a sweeter place than what they’ve been shown, stop in after 9am today and have a cupcake or two.
