Free Document Shredding and Donation of Old Cell Phones in Everett This Saturday

McClain Insurance has teamed up with the Better Business Bureau of Western Washington for a shredding and cell phone recycling event this Saturday. The event will run from 9:00am – 1:00pm at McClain’s Insurance offices near the Costco on 19th Ave. SE in South Everett. People can bring up to three bags or boxes of sensitive documents for shredding. You can also bring any old cell phones that you may have lying around and aren’t sure what to do with. The phones will be turned over to Verizon’s HopeLine, an organization that donates recycled cell phones to domestic violence victims after wiping them clean of existing data. They do ask that you make sure the service contract on the phone has been canceled before donating.
